2025: A year to remember

As the year comes to a close, I want to say thank you. Your generosity, encouragement and belief in our mission make a real difference every single day.

We talk a lot about the kid in the chair. It’s symbol – but very real to anyone who’s experienced the isolating effect of dyslexia. But because of you, we’re making sure that kid gets the support he or she needs.

Your support opens doors to early diagnosis, effective intervention and confidence that lasts a lifetime. You are helping dyslexic kids succeed not only in school today but in life tomorrow. Most importantly, you are helping them understand one powerful truth: there is nothing wrong with them. They are just wired differently.

That’s a lesson I wish I’d learned when I was growing up.

This year, our community showed up in incredible ways. Hundreds joined us on the ice in Crown Point, Indiana, for a winter skate. Our hockey tournament packed an arena with players and fans united for dyslexia awareness – all in pursuit of the coveted Sopel Belt! We proudly rolled through Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade with a huge float celebrating our Dyslexic Stars. And our charity golf outing raised thousands of dollars to support kids and families who need it most.

None of this happens without you. Your advocacy is creating a generation of dyslexic kids who are confident, capable and unafraid to use their voices.

Next year is an important year for the Foundation, and we hope we can count on your continued support. Whether you choose to donate to help secure a neuropsychological evaluation or sponsor a Dyslexic Star, your impact will be felt immediately and for years to come.

Thank you for believing in our kids and in their limitless potential. Happy holidays and here’s to a great 2026!

With gratitude,
Brent
